Job summary

United Security Inc. in Connecticut is seeking per-diem armed detention officers to join our growing team.

The role offers flexible hours, with shifts across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as needed, and responsibilities including guarding prisoners in court, escorting to and from holding areas, and reporting observations. Candidates must have a High School Diploma, at least 3 years in detention, law enforcement, or military police, and hold a State Armed Carry Permit and CT Guard/Blue Cards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 3 years of detention officer, law enforcement, or military police experience.
• State Unrestricted Carry Permit and State Armed Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security of prisoners in the courtroom.
• Escort prisoners to and from the holding cells to the courtrooms using restraints.
• Escort prisoners in medical facilities if admitted.
• Transport prisoners from correctional institutes to courthouse and medical facilities.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

[Armed Detention officer Job Responsibilities]
