Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers for armed security at courthouses under USMS contract in Santa Fe, NM. A sign-on bonus of $1,000 is paid after 90 days on the contract.

Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort duties for judges, and enforcing federal law within court facilities. Applicants must have three years of relevant experience and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years verifiable law enforcement experience with arrest authority.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and surrounding grounds.
• Stationary post assignments including monitoring CCTV and alarms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control vehicle lights at court facilities when applicable.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms before proceedings.
