Job summary

Brink’s is seeking an armed CDL driver in Beltsville, MD to safely operate armored vehicles for customer pickups and deliveries. The role requires enforcing security protocols to protect valuables, crew, and the public in a secured environment.

Responsibilities include guarding the Messenger, maintaining communications, loading/unloading, and ensuring DOT compliance. A valid Class A CDL, firearms permit, and 1 year driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a commercial driver.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
• A valid firearms permit or ability to obtain firearms licensing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, security, and control of the armored vehicle at all times.
• Guard the Messenger during delivery or pickup of valuables at a customer location.
• Maintain radio communication with Messenger, other crew, and dispatch.
• Load and unload the armored vehicle as necessary.
• Report faults and complete driving route documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness of vehicle interior and exterior and report issues.
• Provide high level of customer service to Brink’s Global Services customers.
• Assist in movement of secured valuables from facility to vehicle and back.
• Comply with all DOT and traffic regulations.
