Job summary

Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) is hiring Armed Security Officers to cover Beaufort County and nearby sites. You will provide a visible armed presence, control access, and respond to incidents on school, hospital, and community campuses.

Assignments follow school calendars with 8- or 12-hour shifts; overtime is paid at 1.5x after 40 hours. CSSI offers training at no cost and a growth path into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain SC SLED Armed Security Officer Registration.
• Proficiency with a handgun.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
• Stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible armed presence at assigned campus or site.
• Control access, screen visitors, and monitor CCTV/alarms.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, perimeters, and parking areas.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with administrators and law enforcement.
• Support emergency drills and site safety protocols.
• Write daily activity and incident reports in the mobile system.
