The position requires a high school diploma (CJ degree preferred) and a valid driver's license, with background checks and licenses as mandated.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; preferred CJ bachelor's degree.
• Required licenses: Missouri Driver’s license with clean record; St. Louis security license eligibility.
• Work experience: security-related roles; clean background and eligibility for background checks.
• Skills: strong communication, teamwork, incident reporting and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents on campus and provide safety support.
• Control scenes, preserve evidence, and document incidents for reports and prosecutions.
• Coordinate post-incident transport and communications with faculty, staff, and visitors.
• May serve as acting lead or Field Training Officer and assist with building checks.
• Support Medical Center staff with directions and escorts as needed, safeguard property.
• Enforce parking rules, assist Transportation Office, and perform routine patrols.
• Conduct building checks for access control, hazards, and surveillance needs.
• Record information accurately for official university records and investigations.
