Job summary

The City of Redmond, OR is seeking a uniformed Security Officer to provide customer service and armed security for Redmond Municipal Airport. You will report to the Airport Security Officer Supervisor and Manager and perform inspections to ensure FAA and TSA compliance.

Candidates must meet DPSST Armed Security certification, pass TSA background checks and drug screening, have a high school diploma or GED with related training, and hold an Oregon driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must complete DPSST Armed Security Certification upon hire.
• Must pass TSA background checks and drug screening.
• Must hold an Oregon driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and armed security for Redmond Municipal Airport.
• Conduct inspections, audits and patrols to ensure FAA and TSA compliance.
• Prepare incident reports with accuracy and professional language.
• Maintain confidentiality and support Airport Security Program requirements.

Education

Associate degree or vocational training in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice administration, or related field
