Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor, Armament to oversee maintenance of weapons and armament systems at Fort Hood, TX. The role reports to the Project Manager and ensures readiness through inspect/repair operations and safety compliance.

The candidate will supervise crews, plan schedules, and maintain records while adhering to military regulations, with a focus on quality and safety across electrical, hydraulic, and fire-control systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of supervisory experience with knowledge of US Army material maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for meetings, plans, and reports.
• Ability to provide information and reports and improve delivery of services to customers.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Ability to receive a favorable CAC.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Hires workers, organizes schedules, and assigns work activity.
• Training to ensure individuals have requisite skills.
• Developing and implementing maintenance procedures and maintaining personnel skills records.
• Supervisors evaluate performance and prepare reports; investigate accidents.
