Overview

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an ARM software engineer for the Boards team within Advanced Electronics Systems that is part of the Land and Air Systems LOB, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing commercial boards for the defense industry.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Design and develop high-quality software for ARM-based systems
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers to deliver innovative solutions
  • Work on Board Support Packages (BSP) for new FPGA based HW
  • Enjoy a dynamic and supportive work environment

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Strong experience with ARM architecture and development
  • Strong experience with AMD Vitis Toolset
  • Strong experience with embedded Linux
  • Strong experience with PetaLinux
  • Strong experience with Make
  • Strong experience desired with x86 architecture
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C and C++
  • Solid understanding of Board Support Packages (BSP)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

  • Prior experience with the IPMI protocol is a bonus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in previous projects

Education Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
