Job summary

Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA is seeking a Food & Beverage Intern for a seasonal period from mid-May to mid-August. This immersive internship provides hands-on exposure to the dynamic world of F&B operations and client service.

Interns collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to deliver 5-Star service to members and guests, rotate through 6 dining outlets and banquet spaces, and participate in the 5 Star Employee Recognition Program with mentorship meetings throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a hospitality or culinary program is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to be hands-on and learn various aspects of food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities

Army Navy Country Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Intern to join our team from mid-May to mid-August. This is a Seasonal, immersive internship opportunity that offers hands-on experience in the dynamic world of food and beverage operations.

Learning Outcomes

• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Team to ensure the delivery of 5-Star service to our esteemed members and their guests.
• Coordinate with Food and Beverage Team, assisting in maintaining a high standard of service quality.
• Engage in front-of-house (FOH) food and beverage operations, taking an active role in daily activities such as serving tables, hosting, food-running and other line-level positions.
• Provide insight and work with other interns throughout the designing, planning and execution of the Intern Event and Summer Employee Party.
• Rotate through ANCC’s 6 extraordinary dining outlets and banquet spaces.
• Acquire proficiency in banquet decor and table setting, showcasing your expertise across a variety of event styles
• Interns will spend part of the program participating in ANCC’s 5 Star Employee Recognition Program, where they will meet to collect nominations, make/send invitations, and help plan the celebration events
• Engage in bi-weekly mentorship meetings. This will be with a manager that is suited to you based on compatibility and your career goals.
