Qualifications

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business requires.
  • Understand verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an Arena Operations Associate to join our Halo Sports & Entertainment team! The Arena Operations Associate is responsible for assisting the Management Team with carrying out processes for scheduling, payroll, and any administrative duties to ensure Intuit Dome and Kia Forum always operate optimally. As an Arena Ops Associate, you will support the Operations Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, support the execution of creating schedules for all conversions and events, and have the opportunity to work some events at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum.

The Arena Operations Associate's main tasks include assisting with scheduling, payroll, corrective action, and daily operational work related to concerts, sporting, meetings, and other events.

This is a part-time role based in Inglewood, CA. The scope of this position encompasses a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation with the transition of numerous daily events. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.

What You Will Do:
  • Assist Management Team with scheduling staff for event setup, coverage, and teardown.
  • Assist Management Team with staff payroll.
  • Assist Management Team with creation of Corrective Action.
  • Assist Management Team with creation and distribution of event parking and entry instruction for all scheduled staff.
  • Assist Management Team with any applicable staff communication for upcoming trainings, events, etc.
  • Work applicable NBA games, concerts, or special events as assigned.
  • Properly utilize, organize and store operations supplies / equipment and perform effective inventory storage practices to guarantee the appropriate supplies and equipment required to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Support Halo Sports & Entertainment’s robust sustainability program.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the venues.
  • May be required to operate industrial vehicles such as pallet jack, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Background, Skills, and Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the field of facility management preferably in a complex and sophisticated deadline driven environment.
  • OHSA 10 Certification highly preferred.
  • Experience using ABI highly preferred.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business requires.
  • Understand verbal and written instructions in English. Employee will frequently communicate via radio and in-person with others and exchange accurate information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively and professionally, diplomatically, and maturely with internal and external clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community.
  • Understands principles of project coordination, project management, and exhibits attention to detail to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of and a passion for professional basketball and live entertainment.
  • Highly responsive to emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to receive direction and constructive feedback within a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
Compensation
  • Compensation for this role is $22-$24/hour.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to bend at the waist, reach overhead and horizontal
  • Both indoor and outdoor environments; indoor conditions are generally air-conditioned, while outdoor conditions may include inclement weather such as direct sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, sleet, and wind.
  • Exposure to high noise levels and high vibrations
