Job summary

Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of the arena. Under the Chief Engineer, this role covers carpentry, drywall, wall finishes, and coordination with vendors.

This position supports NHL, WNBA, PWHL games and major events, requiring collaboration with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safety and reliability across all systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Able to interact with customers, field staff, co-workers and vendors.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of personal integrity and organization.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manuals for operation/installation.
• Ability to operate and maintain various equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure building systems are in proper working condition.
• Repair and install drywall, wall coverings, and glazing.
• Assist in major repairs and large-scale maintenance tasks.
• Document procedures and best practices in plans/manuals.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance checks.
• Log into the work order system and complete requests.
• Assist in PM program implementation with Facilities Manager.
• Support inspections and corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with staff and vendors to solve maintenance problems.
• Support events including NHL/WNBA/PWHL and other major events.
• Work with subcontractors and vendors for third-party services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
