Job summary

Vinik Sports Group seeks a General Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance across facilities. The role requires physical activity and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and punctuality, with the need to work extended hours including nights, holidays, and weekends as required. A Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years experience in the general maintenance field.
• Some knowledge in skilled trades.
• Ability to work with job-related tools.
• Ability to decipher problems and remedy same.
• Self-starter, prompt, and team worker.
• Team worker with emphasis on safety in the workplace.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• State of Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
• Performs general repairs (drywall, painting, doors, fixtures).
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems.
• Assess equipment in the arena and make repairs as needed.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Represent Vinik Sports Group professionally at all times.
