Job summary

The University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi is seeking an Arena Manager to oversee the complete operations of the Sandy and John Black Pavilion, including events, budget monitoring, and supervising facility and event staff to ensure efficient, economical operations.

You will supervise all area operations, coordinate event conversions, maintenance, and safety procedures, and serve as liaison between clients and staff on staffing, power distribution, rigging, and equipment use.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4 Year Degree.
• 5 years of experience, 3 years supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all area operations including event conversions, building and grounds maintenance, custodial services, building equipment and safety procedures.
• Initiates and provides direction in event planning, administering budgets, cost control measures and superior guest services.
• Hires, schedules, supervises and trains conversion crews, maintenance personnel, contract labor sources, event specific crews and custodial service personnel.
