Job summary

Great Park Ice is seeking a Cook, GPI to support kitchen operations at the Irvine arena. You will assist Chefs, participate in menu production, and work at multiple stations to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.

The position is part-time and on-site in a fast-paced sports venue. The starting hourly rate is $23.00, with duties including recipe execution, allergen awareness, and guest interaction to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 90 days of experience as a Cook 3 at AAM or equivalent culinary experience.
• Solid knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work at multiple stations in a kitchen.
• Excellent verbal communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and varied times.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipe guidelines to prepare food based on current menu.
• Display knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparations.
• Create specific menu items according to recipes and cooking methods.
• Perform kitchen duties including washing/peeling/ cutting produce, trimming meats, breading items, and monitoring temperatures.
• Ensure food quality, safety, and appearance meet standards.
• Store foods properly and manage rotation using FIFO method.
• Complete daily Time and Temperature logs and monitor temperature controls.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures in all tasks.
• Identify common food allergens and communicate procedures.
• Engage with guests to ensure exceptional hospitality.
• Familiarize yourself with arena layout and assist guests accordingly.
• Collaborate with operations to maintain high-quality service during events.
