Job summary

Minnesota-Sports-and-Entertainment is seeking a Custodian Lead (Conversion) to guide the arena conversion team, overseeing custodial tasks, setup and teardown for events, and maintaining top facility standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and detail. Expect long hours around events, with union guidelines and comprehensive benefits supporting staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Membership in IUOE Local 70 or willing to become a member within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of arena events and conversions is preferred.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment and machinery is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew in conversion, custodial, and building maintenance duties.
• Communicate objectives and coordinate setup and teardown for events.
• Maintain time reports and payroll sign-in procedures.
• Set up and tear down arena features (glass, risers, dasher boards, ice deck).
• Operate cleaning equipment and motorized tools; train staff accordingly.
• Respond to conversions, cleaning, and maintenance requests during events.
• Work with a diverse team and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Train others on sustainability policies and procedures.
