Job description

What You'll Do

You'll plan, design, and run Afterschool Childcare and Summer Day Camp programming across 5-7 school-based sites, plus lead summer camp teams at one location and support School's Out Camps. You'll build a real pathway for kids to grow from child development programs into our programming for teens. Along the way, you'll keep a close eye on how programs are actually working - tracking participation, evaluating effectiveness, and adjusting as needed - while building relationships with community organizations that strengthen what you offer.

You'll lead people, too: recruiting, training, and supervising both paid staff and volunteers, running monthly team meetings, and giving the kind of feedback and coaching that helps people grow. You'll stay closely connected to the families you serve, building trust with students, parents, and school staff, and responding to concerns with care.

You'll help steer the budget for your sites - watching payroll and purchasing, recommending adjustments, and reporting on how things are tracking. And above all, you'll make child safety non-negotiable: following every YMCA policy on medical situations, discipline, emergencies, and child abuse prevention, and holding your team to the same standard - including proper screening, supervision, and training around abuse risk.
