About ECU Health Chowan Hospital
ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Position Summary
The Area Technician is responsible for the daily cleaning and disinfecting of rooms and public areas, furnishings and assigned work areas, removal and disposal of soiled waste and linen, performing floor care and carpet care and general detail cleaning to ensure that the facility is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The Area Technician must follow established policies and procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained throughout the facility.

This is a PRN/As needed position - no benefits. Rotating shifts: work hours may be 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm or 2nd shift, 12pm-8:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm. Rotating weekends/holidays.
