EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Senior Technician/Area Technical Specialist to support renewable energy assets across multiple sites. This role focuses on field troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance of wind, solar, storage systems, and related equipment.
You will train crews, lead repairs, perform high-voltage switching tasks, and travel to other sites as needed. A company vehicle is provided and an extensive five-week training program is included in Albert Lea, MN.

The full pay range for this role is $XX to $XX per hour , and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $XX to $XX per hour . We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.
This position, under the direction of the Regional Manager and/or Site Manager, performs all duties of a Senior Technician. In addition, the Area Technical Specialist assists field technicians with repair problems and guides field technicians through specialized tasks associated with renewable energy assets.
Required Training : Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend mandatory five (5) week training and certification course at the start of their employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided.
Area Technical Specialists spend 85% of their time in the field with the other 15% doing scheduled training, paperwork, and meetings. An undefined amount of the field work will be done at other locations which will require traveling to other sites. The Area Technical Specialist must be capable of working alone but is generally working with and training other technicians. Area Technical Specialists are provided a company vehicle for official company use only (service truck), during their assigned shift in which they carry the required tools and parts necessary to perform repairs and/or maintenance. Area Technical Specialists may work in extreme weather conditions.
