EDF power solutions North America seeks a skilled Area Technical Specialist to split time between fieldwork and training duties. You will assist and train crews in troubleshooting, crane calling, and specialized repairs across wind, solar, storage, and transmission projects.

The full pay range for this role is $32.00 to $54.00 per hour, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $40.00 to $44.00 per hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.
Area Technical Specialists spend 85% of their time in the field with the other 15% doing scheduled training, paperwork, and meetings. An undefined amount of the field work will be done at other locations which will require traveling to other sites. The Area Technical Specialist must be capable of working alone but is generally working with and training other technicians. Area Technical Specialists may work in extreme weather conditions.
Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend mandatory four (4) week training and certification course at the start of their employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided.
