GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store, overseeing operations and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. They handle opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing operational processes.

Essential Functions

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments:

• Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment, correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
• Ensure security of the store including entrances/exits, EAS devices, cash office, and other security measures.
• Remove clutter, ensure clear emergency exits, and handle safety and emergency procedures.

Customer Service:

• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect.
• Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism, recognizing associates' efforts.
