General Purpose:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store, overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty, supervising associates, and maintaining a friendly shopping environment. They ensure proper merchandise presentation, cleanliness, and execute company operational processes.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Prioritizes safety, maintains awareness, manages security systems, and responds to emergencies.
• Customer Service: Treats everyone with respect, demonstrates professionalism, and recognizes associates.
• Personal and Store Brand: Upholds brand standards, maintains appearance and store cleanliness, manages trash removal.
• General Merchandising: Ensures recovery, markdowns, receiving, organization, and merchandising standards are met.
• Loss Prevention: Implements loss prevention strategies, safeguards merchandise, and maintains surveillance systems.
• Front End Supervision and Operations: Manages front end activities, trains associates, controls schedules, and maintains equipment.
• Fitting Rooms: Maintains cleanliness and compliance in fitting rooms.
• Administrative Duties: Handles cash, deposits, payroll, and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent verbal communication skills, fluency in English.
• Prior supervisory and customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Stockroom associates may need to lift more than 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
