General Purpose:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store, overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and store cleanliness. They also execute and supervise operational processes as needed.

Essential Functions include:

  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment by practicing safety behaviors, monitoring the sales floor, and ensuring security measures are in place.
  • Providing excellent customer service by treating everyone with respect and professionalism.
  • Representing and supporting the company brand through professional appearance and store presentation.
  • Managing merchandising activities, including receiving merchandise, processing deliveries, and maintaining stockrooms.
  • Implementing loss prevention strategies, safeguarding merchandise and confidential information.
  • Supervising front-end operations, ensuring efficient checkout processes, and coaching associates.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of fitting rooms and other areas.
  • Completing administrative duties such as cash handling, payroll, and scheduling as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Prior supervisory and customer service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to perform basic math and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 20 lbs for stockroom shifts.
  • Use of store equipment, including registers, PDTs, ladders, and janitorial supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
