GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific store area and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. They oversee opening/closing, supervise associates, maintain a friendly shopping environment, ensure merchandise presentation, and uphold cleanliness and operational standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments:
  • Prioritizes safety, practicing safe behaviors
  • Maintains awareness for a safe shopping environment, reports unsafe conditions
  • Secures the building, manages EAS devices, cash security, and other safety protocols
  • Ensures clear egress and responds to alarms
Customer Service:
  • Treats all with respect, demonstrates professionalism, recognizes associates
Personal and Store Brand:
  • Supports the company brand, maintains professional appearance, keeps store clean and well-merchandised
General Merchandising:
  • Ensures recovery, sizing, markdowns, receives merchandise, maintains stockrooms, and manages back stock
Loss Prevention:
  • Follows loss prevention programs, safeguards confidential information, maintains PVM system, conducts inspections
Front End Supervision and Operations:
  • Maximizes front-end productivity, trains associates, manages equipment and supplies, oversees signing and merchandise salability
Fitting Rooms:
  • Maintains cleanliness, audits tags, ensures return compliance
Administrative Duties:
  • Handles cash pulls, deposits, payroll, and other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Fluency in English
  • Customer service and supervisory experience preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Basic math skills
  • Availability for evenings and weekends
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Ability to use store equipment, stand/walk for long periods, bend, squat, lift over 25 lbs, and work in various physical positions. Stockroom roles require lifting over 20 lbs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
