Role Overview

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store, overseeing general operations and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include opening/closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and store cleanliness. They also execute operational processes as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintaining Safety & Security: Prioritize safety, monitor the sales floor, ensure security systems and procedures are followed, and respond to alarms.
  2. Customer Service: Treat all customers and associates with respect, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
  3. Store Brand & Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance, ensure store cleanliness, and manage merchandise presentation.
  4. Merchandising & Stock Management: Oversee merchandise recovery, receiving, organization, and back-stock security.
  5. Loss Prevention: Follow loss prevention protocols, safeguard confidential information, and monitor security systems.
  6. Front End Operations: Ensure efficient checkout processes, train associates, and manage customer flow.
  7. Fitting Rooms & Administrative Duties: Maintain cleanliness, manage merchandise returns, and handle store administration such as deposits and payroll.
  8. Competencies: Manage work processes, demonstrate business acumen, lead and communicate effectively, and ensure accountability.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Previous customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift over 25 lbs, and use store equipment as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
