Role Overview

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing company operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Prioritize safety, monitor the sales floor for unsafe conditions, manage security systems, and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
2. Customer Service: Treat customers, associates, and leaders with respect, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
3. Personal and Store Brand: Uphold the company brand standards, maintain a professional appearance, and keep the store clean and well-merchandised.
4. Merchandising: Ensure proper merchandise recovery, receiving, organization, and presentation according to standards.
5. Loss Prevention: Follow loss prevention programs, safeguard confidential information, and maintain surveillance systems.
6. Front End Operations: Oversee front-end activities, train associates, and ensure equipment functions properly.
7. Fitting Rooms: Maintain cleanliness and proper tagging of garments.
8. Administrative Duties: Manage cash handling, payroll, and other store administrative tasks as assigned.
9. Competencies: Demonstrate leadership, communication, collaboration, and accountability skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift up to 25 lbs, and use store equipment as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
