Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Houston is seeking an Area Superintendent to lead field supervision on major projects. You will oversee General Foremen and craft teams, manage schedule, budget, safety, and QA/QC programs to keep work moving and aligned with drawings and specifications.

We'd love to have you as a shareholder! ## **YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:**The Area Superintendent is responsible for overseeing total project supervision effort to ensure appropriate personnel, budget and schedule are met.## **WHAT YOU’LL DO:*** Plan and supervise General Foreman and Foreman on craft activities, including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.* Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.* Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and Project Management to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.* Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.* Maintain communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required manpower, etc., as necessary.* Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.* Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.* Lead in the implementation of all field training programs.* Closely monitor company QA/QC programs.* Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.* The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit.## **WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:*** Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups essential.* Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary* Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude* Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position* Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player* Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others## ## **WHAT YOU BRING TO US:*** Minimum of eight years’ supervisory experience in similar facility, construction technology, methods and equipment, tools and work procedures required.* Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience.## ## **TRAVEL:*** Up to 25-50 %## **WORKING CONDITIONS:*** General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
