Amazon is seeking an Area Manager Jr. in Last Mile Operations, focusing on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity.

This role requires working with multiple teams across the company to manage performance. The candidate must influence leadership across customer service operations, technology teams, support teams, carrier partners, and senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities

• Set and communicate performance goals, expectations, and objectives to meet customer promises with accuracy and quality.
• Maximize route productivity through training, analysis, and feedback on performance data.
• Partner with the AMZL Delivery Station management team to establish quality control standards.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
• Lead strategic initiatives tactically.
• Coordinate cross-functional tasks and track progress.
• Communicate across departments to align goals and ensure program success.
• Plan and forecast performance and resolve issues.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Execute cross-functional projects involving data analysis, supply chain strategies, and insights sharing.
• Improve transportation network efficiency to better serve customers.
• Ensure safety procedures, building security, and product loss prevention.

About the team

Our operations process millions of products daily. Our team is people-focused and supportive, especially as many work overnight shifts. We operate 24/7 in most locations.

Minimum requirements

• High school diploma
• Basic English (A2)
• Over 2 years of experience
• At least 1 year as a people manager

Additional experience includes 3+ years of relevant work and knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools.
