Job summary

Courtyard Residence Inn and Springhill Lake Nona are seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive group sales, actively soliciting inquiries for 10+ guestrooms per night and crafting tailored solutions for long-lasting client relationships.

You will influence optimal sales objectives and contribute to memorable guest experiences through proactive outreach and strategic hospitality partnership development in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of previous hotel operations or sales experience required.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computers in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to learn and master TripleSeat CRM and Fosse PMS and all other applications and systems as assigned.
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks effectively to adhere to deadlines as determined by customers, sales team, and leadership.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven sales and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to function as part of a team.
  • Capable of setting priorities when multiple demands exist.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams across multiple properties.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales contacts via phone solicitation, prospecting, calls, and trade shows; some travel may be required.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and contact potential clients to build and nurture lasting relationships.
  • Understand the market, competition, and trends to strategically sell against rivals.
  • Know hotel amenities and options to tailor proposals for groups.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
  • Create, execute, and support proposals, contracts, and client communications.
  • Produce quotes and confirmations; maintain timely, accurate activity records.
  • Foster positive relationships with Lake Nona Hotels team members.
  • Create memorable experiences with a warm, guest-focused approach.
  • Proactively resolve guest opportunities and build loyalty.
  • Share service knowledge to help guests feel at home and valued.
  • Collaborate with teams to convey insights to staff and management.
  • Answer phones and greet guests warmly, regardless of workload.
  • Attend meetings as assigned by sales leadership.
  • Conduct property site tours showcasing features and benefits for clients.

Job Overview

You will be an integral member of the team that activelysolicitsand handles inquiries of groups that exceed 10 guestrooms per night. You willparticipatein the continuing effort to delivertailored solutionsand nurture lasting relationships with our customers with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement ofoptimumsales objectives.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving group sales for Courtyard Residence Inn and Springhill Lake Nona properties. You will actively solicit and manage group inquiries of 10+ guestrooms per night, crafting tailored solutions and building long-lasting client relationships. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving optimal sales objectives and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities
  • With an innovative mindset,identifyand enthusiastically create new contacts and develop sales leads through phone solicitation/prospecting, sales calls, trade shows, etc. Some travelmayberequired.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and contact potential clients to build and nurture lasting business relationships.
  • Understand the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, etc. and strategically sell against our competition.
  • Understand fully the hotel amenities, venues, and options and provide recommendations to create authentic experiences for our groups.
  • Anticipate our guests' needs and respond promptly.
  • Create, execute, and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence).
  • Produce quotes and written confirmation to all clients. Maintaintimelyandaccuraterecording of activity to include appointments, calls made, and business leads.
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with all team members of Lake Nona Hotels.
  • Create memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality that can relate to guests and all other departments.
  • Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest opportunities and create loyalty.
  • Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel comfortable, at home, and value.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are met.
  • Promptly answer telephones and enthusiastically greet our guests with your personal spirit, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Attend allmeetings asassigned by sales leadership.
  • Conductenthusiasticproperty site toursshowcasingthe features of each of your hotelspaired with the benefits tailored to thecustomersindividual wants and needs.
