Job summary

Northwest Federal Credit Union is seeking an Area Sales Manager to partner with automobile dealerships in defined markets. You will consult on how to achieve operational objectives while building lasting relationships with corporate leaders and key decision makers.

In this role you will present products, monitor dealership productivity with our underwriters and management, and drive growth across designated markets while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in automotive indirect lending sales/finance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven sales ability and relationship-building with dealerships.
  • Ability to analyze data and coordinate with underwriters and management.
  • Must reside in designated markets (Charlotte, NC; Tampa, FL; Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Northern VA/Herndon, VA).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage relationships with decision makers at each designated dealership.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and processing teams to deliver excellent service.
  • Exceed performance goals while maintaining best-in-class service.
  • Create monthly dealer engagement plans based on data and metrics.
  • Make sales calls to sign new dealerships and maintain existing ones.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Meet production and performance targets per market.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to NWFCU policies and BSA regulations.

Job description

The Area Sales Manager will partner with Automobile Dealerships in specifically defined areas. This position is responsible for consulting with each dealership on how to achieve its operational objectives. Additionally, build and maintain long-standing relationships with corporate leaders, business owners, and key decision makers throughout the organization will ensure adoption of our lending solutions while working with a team of underwriters. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for product presentations, building lasting relationships, and monitoring dealership productivity and performance by working with our experienced team of underwriters and management. Must reside in these specific markets: Charlotte, NC – Tampa, FL – Nashville, TN – Dallas, TX – Northern, VA/ Herndon, VA

Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage relationships with decision makers at each designated dealership in a selected market
  • Work with underwriting and processing Teams to provide excellent service and customer loyalty
  • Be driven to exceed performance goals while providing best-in-class service to form long-lasting partnerships
  • Create and execute a monthly plan of dealer engagement based on internal/external analysis of available data and sales metrics (Monitor production, efficiencies, performance and dealership visits)
  • Sales calls to potential new dealership sign-ups and maintenance calls to existing dealerships are big part of growth in each specific market territory (Specific market performance is based on the market the Area Sales Manager is responsible for)
  • Assure compliance and regulatory standards
  • Minimum production and performance expectations will be determined by analysis and internal/external data for goals and expectations for each market
  • Perform other essential job functions as required or assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in the automotive Indirect Lending Sales/Finance industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sales skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership abilities to effectively communicate and interact within the Credit Union
  • Ability to resolve problems, sometimes requiring data analysis and weighing the outcome with Management and the Underwriter. Expanding relationships with existing Automobile Dealerships and adding new Dealerships to our customer base
  • Must reside in: Charlotte, NC – Tampa, FL – Nashville, TN – Dallas, TX – Northern, VA/ Herndon, VA

Base compensation for this role ranges from $78,750 – $106,325 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
