Job summary

Tempur Sealy International is seeking an Area Sales Associate in Austin, TX to deliver exceptional customer service while promoting Tempur-Pedic products. You may serve in a leadership role when the Store Manager is unavailable, including opening/closing the store and covering duties.

You will travel between nearby stores within the assigned area, leading sales efforts, coaching teammates, merchandising, and supporting store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years’ retail experience, preferably with luxury or custom products.
• Proven sales skills in a consultative environment.

Responsibilities

This role will travel between stores within the assigned area, providing support in key team lead responsibilities and helping drive overall store performance* Provide leadership in all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care, maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures, and in maintaining Tempur Sealy’s brand.* Continue to perform all the Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.* Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team.* Assist the store manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs.* Solve problems within the sales team and direct larger issues to the Store Manager.* Perform other duties as assigned.**What You’ll Need (Qualifications):*** High school diploma or equivalent* 1-3 years’ retail experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with high-end luxury and/or custom products* Strong sales skills in a consultative environment* Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting.* Skilled at current best practice retail methods, procedures, and standards* Demonstrated collaborator able to both lead and follow.* Flexibility in work schedule reflecting the needs and patterns of store hours.* Fluency with current retail software / computer systems* Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time and occasionally lifting items with or without assistance.#LI-DNP
