Community Access Services (CAS) is hiring an Area Relief Direct Support Professional (AR DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across multiple programs in The Dalles, OR. The role requires flexibility to work at different locations, across all shifts, including weekends, with coverage where needed most.

The AR DSP provides compassionate support, helps with daily living activities, and promotes independence while maintaining high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a direct care role and working with individuals with disabilities required.
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements to become a company driver.
• Ability to pass a national background check.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships with individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, personal care, hygiene and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community settings, including outings, appointments, recreation, and personal goals.
• Provide support in employment settings and help individuals work toward their employment goals.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
• Administer medications and complete documentation accurately.
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments.

Pay: $25.75 per hour + $1,000 Hiring Bonus

Schedule: Full-time | Flexible availability required

Community Access Services is hiring an Area Relief Direct Support Professional (AR DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across multiple programs.

As an AR DSP, you will be assigned where coverage is needed most across our programs. This role requires flexibility to work at different locations, across all shifts—including day, swing, and overnight shifts—and weekends. You must be willing and able to adjust to varying schedules, locations, and support environments based on program needs.

What Does an Area Relief Direct Support Professional Do?

As an Area Relief Direct Support Professional, you'll help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible.

Because this is an area relief position, you'll have the opportunity to work across different programs, gaining experience in different support environments while providing coverage where it is needed most.

Responsibilities include:
