Job summary

George’s Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to lead production operations at our Springdale, AR plant, ensuring health and safety compliance and product quality.

You will supervise front line staff, organize daily tasks, monitor flow, and drive improvements to meet yields and budgets while sustaining sanitation standards. The role requires strong communication, HACCP knowledge, and experience in poultry or food manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of plant sanitation procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety regulations are met.
• Coordinate and direct all production activities of the department.
• Organize personnel and set daily tasks for front line supervisors.
• Monitor production flow and schedule details to optimize efficiencies.
• Achieve budgeted production yields and minimize condemn poundage.
• Maintain standard manufacturing efficiencies to meet budgets.
• Identify opportunities and suggest staffing, cost, and quality improvements.
• Meet product standards while maintaining or improving yield.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Train and develop employees in relevant areas.
• Develop objectives and standards for production lines and monitor results.
• Observe plant areas to report or correct hazards and handle safety investigations.
