Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Area Pricing Manager to lead local pricing strategies and maximize profitability across the Salt Lake City region. This role partners with sales management to ensure pricing is competitive, accurate, and aligned with corporate objectives using analytics, systems expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, pricing analytics experience, and familiarity with SAP (OTC and Pricing) and Vistex.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamental understanding of pricing structures and techniques.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Preferred SAP OTC (Order to Cash), SAP Pricing, Vistex, Power BI and AI experience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across all levels.
• Strong organization and time-management skills; consistently meets deadlines.
• Results-oriented; works effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3-5 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales management to implement pricing strategies.
• Update customer price records in SAP as requested by the sales team.
• Serve as liaison between the chargeback department and sales associates, providing pricing information.
• Pro-actively collaborate with sales team to reduce overrides while protecting gross margin.
• Apply critical thinking to resolve pricing issues with sales team; assist in special projects.
