Job summary

TEi Construction Services is seeking an Area Manager to lead cradle-to-grave project activities within a designated area. You will prepare and review area estimates, coordinate with internal teams on proposals, and build strong relationships with customers as part of our sales strategy.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will monitor project execution and drive risk mitigation plans. The role requires strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, and power plant familiarity, with

Responsibilities

• Prepares and approves area estimates; facilitates transition to proposals.
• Leads RFQ evaluation and bid/no-bid decisions based on strategy.
• Submits proposals through TEiC processes.
• Builds relationships with customers and partners with sales staff.
• Monitors project activities and ensures compliance with procedures.
• Reports project status to senior leadership and proposes corrective actions.
• Leads risk analysis and recommends long- and short-term solutions.
• Oversees project reviews from sales to closeout.
• Reviews leadership effectiveness and mentors staff; recommends actions.
• Completes all commercial, operational, and reporting requirements on time.

The Area Manager is the operations leader for a designated TEiC area. Within the designated area, the Area Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining area customers, preparing estimates and proposals, and providing cradle to grave project leadership. The Area Manager will report to the Regional Director.

• Prepares estimates utilizing estimating template; reviews all area estimates, approves all area estimates, and facilitates transition of estimates to proposals
• Leads internal RFQ evaluation process and recommends bid or no-bid based on area, region, and company (BPI/TEiC) short- and long-term strategies
• Submits proposals through internal TEiC commercial processes
• Build relationships with new and existing customers based on area, region, and company sales strategy; partners with BPI sales staff and representatives on BPI/TEiC sales strategy
• Monitors TEiC project activities; ensures that project activities comply with company procedures and policies
• Provides project status to senior leadership; communicates challenges and recommends corrective actions in a timely manner
• Leads risk analysis for project issues; recommends solutions that benefit short term and long-term strategies of TEiC
• Leads internal and external review of area projects from sales identification through project close out
• Reviews effectiveness of TEiC project leadership, coaches and mentor's direct reports to facilitate positive change; recommends corrective action, including personnel change, if necessary
• Completes all commercial, operational, and company reporting requirements by assigned date

Requirements

Position Qualifications

• Sound understanding of project controls and project risk management tools
• Technical knowledge of power plants and power equipment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; capable of adjusting priorities

Education And Experience

• Preferred B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering
• 5 plus years in field engineering, project management, or related experience
