Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in the United States (Missouri) to lead a team of hourly workers and ensure safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet delivery promises and business objectives.

The role requires flexibility in shifts and physical tasks, with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The position offers growth opportunities across fulfillment networks as new sites open each year,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of people management leading teams of 20 experience.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen).
• Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in shipping/logistics distribution centers, manufacturing environments, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in varying noise levels and weather conditions
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable
