Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in Carlisle, PA to lead a 20+ member hourly team across first/middle/last mile operations. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery while partnering with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet objectives.

Applicants should have 2+ years in people management, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and be able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather; some sites have outdoor loading areas.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
