Area Operations Manager - Specialty Construction

I'm partnered with an established and growing specialty contractor looking to appoint an Area Operations Manager to lead and develop its Tampa operation.

The company is a national specialty contractor with a multi-state footprint and locations across the US, supporting major clients across complex commercial and industrial environments. They have built a strong reputation as a preferred contractor for repeat clients, with work spanning healthcare, airports, data centers and other technically demanding facilities. The business continues to grow geographically, making this a key leadership hire for its Florida operations.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for overseeing multiple projects and Project Managers across a diverse portfolio.

The successful candidate will act as the face of the business in the Tampa market, taking ownership of operational performance while building long-term relationships with key clients and helping drive continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Candidates do not need to come directly from the company's specific trade - they have successfully hired and developed leaders from mechanical, plumbing and HVAC contracting backgrounds
