Katmai Government Services seeks a skilled operations & maintenance supervisor to lead and inspect building systems including HVAC, chilled water, controls, plumbing, and electrical tasks at a Jacksonville facility.
Responsibilities include supervising on-site and off-site technicians, coordinating vendors, managing schedules, and maintaining the computerized maintenance management system. A high school diploma and several years of leadership in facilities maintenance are required.
Execute, supervise, and inspect the operations and maintenance of all building equipment; including the testing, overhauling, installation, and repair of sophisticated refrigeration, dehumidification, air-conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems.
Supervise and mentor assigned site project personnel.
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check. The expected travel time is 25-50%.
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is 25% - 50%.
Work is performed in a maintenance facility / light manufacturing setting, and is often exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed some heat, noise, chemicals and to vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons.
