Job summary

Lazer Logistics is seeking an Area Manager to lead a Field Operations team, overseeing 24/7 operations across multiple customer sites within a defined geography in the United States. You will guide Site Managers and site teams, driving safety, service quality, and strong customer outcomes while coaching and developing leaders.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety accountability, managing equipment readiness, maintaining customer relationships, and analyzing P&L performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Site Managers and field teams.
• Proven ability to improve safety and service delivery.
• Ability to analyze P&L and report insights.
• Strong recruiting, onboarding, coaching skills.
• Willingness to fill in as driver when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on safety, customer service, and consistent service delivery.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify process improvements, and resolve operational issues impacting service levels.
• Provide regular, clear updates and insights to the Regional Manager.
• Fill in as a driver during employee absences or staffing shortages.
• Ensure accountability for safety standards across Site Managers and employees, including resolving maintenance-related issues.
• Oversee equipment readiness and site operations, including maintenance, rentals, and vendor-supported repairs.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by coordinating logistics, attending meetings, and aligning service delivery with expectations.
• Analyze P&L performance for a given POD, reporting insights to senior leadership.
• Lead and manage a team of Site and Assistant Area Managers to drive safe operations, strong customer service, and driver engagement.
• Provide end-to-end leadership across the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, mentoring, and team development.
• Manage, develop, and supervise personnel to meet business needs efficiently.
• Train new and existing managers/drivers to maintain high performance, safety, and service standards.
• Be a leader by example and live our overall purpose and core values. Foster communication, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, innovation and a productive team environment.
• Promote a business partner and ownership mindset to the team to prioritize customer service excellence, adoption and resilience to change and continuous improvement.
