Job summary

Amazon in Texas is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will engage your team during shifts, monitor performance, and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, and HR to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing attendance, and driving continuous improvement across First/ Middle/ Last mile workflows. A flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures, weather, noise, and stairs.
