Job summary

Amazon seeks an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly workers and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will engage and develop staff during shifts, coordinate with Safety, Engineering and HR, and ensure customer orders reach the right place at the right time.

In this role you’ll lift up to 49 lbs, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours.
• Work in varied noise levels and temperatures; outdoor loading areas.
• Lead areas across First mile, Middle mile and Last mile operations.
• Ensure alignment with company vision and customer expectations.
