Job description

DescriptionWestern Timberlands is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to lead the Springfield/South Valley Area operating team in the South Oregon Region. This role is based in Eugene, Oregon, and reports directly to the South Oregon Region Manager. The newly combined Springfield and South Valley operating areas span approximately 400,000 acres and includes a dedicated staff of foresters, engineers, harvest managers, and functional support staff. There are ~20 non-production and ~22 hourly production employees. The salaried team will include dedicated leads for each of the 3 primary disciplines (forestry, harvesting, and engineering) that report directly to the Area Manager. The Area Manager leads and drives the execution of Western Timberlands' operating strategy in alignment with the South Oregon Region Roadmap.Key Functions:Leadership & Vision: Champion the Weyerhaeuser Company Vision, embodying core values of safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability, and inclusion. Focus on people development, operational excellence, and capital optimization.operational Oversight: Manage all operational activities and business outcomes for the team. Foster an effective and engaged culture, establish efficient processes, and oversee financial budgeting, tracking, and monitoring. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 20% of base pay.
