Job summary

Stake-Center-Locating is seeking an Area Manager, Locate to oversee Locate Supervisors and manage workload, customer relations, and coordination with Corporate. The role includes IT/purchasing coordination with homeowners and the public, plus disciplinary oversight and vehicle/equipment inspections.

The position requires coordinating inspections, ordering inventory, mentoring staff, and assisting on challenging locate jobs while interpreting reports and ensuring safety and accuracy across team

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free.
• Ability to locate.
• Ability to effectively perform a PDR or damage investigation.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Experienced in effective leadership in the locating industry.
• Excellent communications skills oral and written.
• Comprehensive understanding of underground utility construction and placement required.
• Successfully complete company provided Locate Technician training program and pass all required testing.
• Requires long hours when necessary. May require weekend and holiday work when necessary.
• Some travel maybe required including overnight stays and out of town assignments and or training.
• Must have above average computer skills.
