Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Location Manager in Des Moines, IA to oversee the daily operations, staff performance, training, and safety for all drivers serving RCX railroad clients. The role requires strong leadership and adherence to Hours of Service rules, with focus on coaching and incident handling.

Responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, scheduling, and coordinating with dispatch and railroad partners to ensure reliable 24/7 coverage and service integrity at the Des Moines location.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a current valid state issued drivers license for residence state.
• No major moving violations in the last 3 years; avoid DUI convictions in the last 7 years.
• No disqualifying records such as drug/alcohol offenses in the last 4 years (or per policy).
• Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and ensure adherence to procedures and Hours of Service (HOS).
• Oversee hiring, coaching, disciplining and performance management at the location.
• Coordinate with railroad management and dispatch for 24/7 service to RCX clients.
• Conduct driver training, ride-alongs and safety inspections; review incidents and coach accordingly.
• Schedule personnel, maintain payroll adjustments, and communicate with HR on disciplinary actions.
