Amazon Inc. in Odessa, TX is hiring an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees and ensure safety, quality, and on-time deliveries. This role includes in-role training at an operating site for 2+ weeks away from the home site, with travel booked by Amazon.

The position requires open flexibility for 10-hour overnight shifts and a front-half or back-half schedule. You will mentor your team, drive productivity, and partner with safety, HR, and other teams to meet business goals.

Qualifications

Two+ years of employee and performance management experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly employees.
Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet objectives.
Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, or climb stairs.
Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures, including outside loading areas and refrigerated locations.
Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and overnight shifts.
