General Dynamics NASSCO in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Area Manager II with CVN experience to oversee CMAV-type availability from planning through delivery. You will coordinate multiple subcontractors and trade activities, serve as the main customer contact, and support the project management system with cross-functional teams including Navy representatives.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this role requires 2+ years as a NASSCO Area Manager I or 4+ years external experience, with 6+ years ship

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years as NASSCO Area Manager I or 4 years external equivalent.
• Security clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.
• 6+ years of ship repair experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage CMAV-type availability from planning to delivery.
• Coordinate multiple subcontractors and organic trade activities.
• Serve as primary customer contact and company representative.
• Lead cross-functional project team meetings with Navy representatives.
• Develop detailed plans for complex work items and manage scope changes.
• Identify and resolve risks affecting availability completion.
• Lead subcontractors and trade personnel.
