Job summary

Amazon in Troutdale, OR is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly workers and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You’ll ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location while collaborating with safety, engineering, and HR to hit business goals.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, ensuring productivity, and adapting to varied shifts and environments, including outside loading areas. This role emphasizes leadership and fulfillment excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in an environment with variable temperatures and weather
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
