Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff at our MACON, GA delivery stations, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will drive engagement during shifts and align operations with customer delivery promises, while collaborating with Safety, Engineering, and HR teams.

Requirements include 2+ years in people/performance management and a Bachelor's or equivalent, with 1+ year in lean or process-improvement experience; flexibility for shift work and weekends

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequent physical activity.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work where noise can be loud and temperatures vary.
• Climb/descend stairs where applicable.
