Job summary

Amazon USA, Tennessee, Charleston is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff, drive safety, quality, attendance and performance, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

You will coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet business objectives; must be able to lift up to 49 pounds and walk/stand long hours in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and outside loading areas.
• Continuously adapt to site variations while delivering customer orders on time.
