Job summary

Clean Team is seeking an Area Manager - Commercial Cleaning to lead daily janitorial operations across our Bay City accounts, acting as the liaison between client facilities and cleaning technicians to ensure cleanliness standards and smooth operations.

You will oversee onboarding and development of staff, manage scheduling and client relations, and uphold safety and inventory controls with a focus on delivering exceptional service in the Mid-Michigan region.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience, preferably in commercial janitorial, hospitality, or facility management settings.
• Must have a valid driver''s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving history (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Ability to work evening hours and maintain a flexible schedule based on operational demands.
• Physical capacity to perform routine building walkthroughs, lift up to 35 lbs, and demonstrate proper cleaning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Account supervision & quality control across assigned facilities to ensure hygiene and safety standards.
• Lead, onboard, train, and mentor cleaning associates; provide feedback and build a positive culture.
• Coordinate shift coverage, monitor attendance, and resolve on-site issues quickly.
• Address client inquiries or special requests promptly to maintain high retention and satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory and safety compliance of cleaning chemicals and equipment at client sites.
